It is rare when a company can provide a design advantage, part commonization and a system cost savings all in one.
A customer came to DisCom with a unique challenge. The goal was to integrate an exhaust clamp amongst two sensor bosses. After facing issues due to the working envelope, the sensor bosses were designed within the clamp to avoid interference with adjacent componentry. This was achieved this through a patented design concept which allowed the customer to eliminate different configurations of DOC housings with different sensor boss locations. Using a single common housing and clamp thereby was able to reduce system cost.
