DisCom was placed in the scenario where a component was needed for pre-PPAP builds. The customer timeline required verification of the design before production tooling could be cut. DisCom worked parallel paths to source a 3D printed Inconel fastener in three weeks while production tooling material was on order. After confirming the fastener met the design requirements through application testing, we were able to start cutting production tooling. DisCom was able to meet the customer?s PPAP and production delivery schedule without the need for material expedites.<\/p>\n
