DisCom was recently given the task to work with a customer so that an assembly process on an existing program could be simplified. The goal was to allow operators to install an EGR pressure tube on engine without modification to any other components within the surrounding area.<\/p>\n
After some collaboration, prototype parts were produced and assessed by the customer. Initial durability tests were also conducted in-house prior to prototype delivery to the customer. The entire process took less than eight weeks, and the customer was able to determine that the modification offered assembly advantages which cut down on assembly cycle time.<\/p>\n
